Travel Advice

Generally we recommend traveling from London by Eurostar to Lille or Paris and thence to Valence TGV or from Paris (TGV from Gare du Lyon or from Charles de Gaulle airport) to Valence TGV and will meet and return guests to meet specific trains at this station.  Options via Lyon also are available.

Please refer to the Travel Advice on the individual Festival page you are interested in as the timetables do change throughout the summer.

SNCF have released their timetables for TGV trains for some of the summer months so it is possible to book a train direct (whether via Paris or Lille) from London to Valence. It is also possible to book trains to and from Paris for both elements of the journey (ie London-Paris and Paris-Valence).

We confirm that we will meet and return to the following trains and therefore be available to collect /  return to other trains (via Paris) at or around these times:

The train from London St Pancras via Lille to Valence TGV  12:58 arriving 19:45
(if this train is not on the timetable then we will meet the 16:18 arriving from Paris but please confirm this with us)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEETING POINT IS THE CAR PARK REACHED  BY WALKING DOWN THE RAMP FROM THE RHONE EXIT FROM THE MAIN CONCOURSE

The train from Valence to London via Lille departing Valence at 10:15

Alternatively you can fly to Paris and take the TGV from there as follows:

16:56 from Paris CDG airport arrives 19:45

10:15 from Valence to Paris CDG airport arrives 13:02       £137 return

Both of these are direct and should leave plenty of time for arriving and departing flights such as:

Flights OUT:

EasyJet                       08:00/13:55 Gatwick   (later flight is leaving it a bit tight)

Vueling                       09:30  Gatwick

AirFrance                   12:10  Heathrow

BA                               10:50 or 13:35          Heathrow

RETURN:

EasyJet                       16:40  Gatwick

Vueling                       20:15  Gatwick

AirFrance                   16:10 / 19:05           Heathrow

BA                               14:00 / 16:40           Heathrow  (14:00 is slightly tight)

Flight cost - Easyjet - £79 return,  Air France (with EasyJet return £99), Air France £106, BA £117

Total cost of journey = £216 - £254

We recommend the train as being the most comfortable, easiest and cheapest option from London.
